To get there, we need an experienced and talented Quality Manager to join the team in our Baldwinsville, NY folding carton plant. In this role, you be focused on strategic, tactical and operational quality; promoting and maintaining quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization; and liaison with customers and vendors. The Quality Manager is accountable for internal and external quality complaint resolution, execution of audits, and ensuring efficient and smooth operations within the production facility. Responsibilities How you will impact PaperWorks:
Track, analyze, and lead initiatives for all internal quality and customer complaint issues. Provide daily quality data and feedback to facility and site leadership. Manage a team of quality technicians, ensuring that processes are efficient, and work is appropriately prioritized. Provide tools and training for quality management and quality improvement to the facility staff Determine, document, and approve site-specific or one-time occurrences such as protocols (reworks, validations, etc.), deviations (planned or unplanned), waivers, or releases for materials and products as required. Leverage enterprise technology to analyze quality complaints, track corrective and preventive actions, and use data to isolate and track defective parts per million, over shipments, and resolve issues related to rejected products when applicable. Monitor and ensure compliance with current policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements. Coordinate and execute internal, customer, supplier, subcontractor, and regulatory audits. Promote a total quality philosophy at all levels developing a culture of right first time and continuous improvement. Participate, facilitate, and/or lead continuous improvement teams in both the production and support areas of the plant. Qualifications What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree with 5
years related professional experience. Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus. Meaningful experience with GFSI, SQF, or other related audit programs. Prior experience utilizing Quality Engineering methods and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Demonstrated ability in taking ownership and initiative of responsibilities and executing them to meet business needs and deliverables. Ability to build key relationships with team members across the organization and develop an informal network of internal consultants. Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to build relationships and effectively communicate with team members company wide. Highly proficient competency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize work, while maintaining attention to detail is critical. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correct. A drive to overcome challenges and deliver continuous improvement with a positive attitude.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
