Software Engineer, DevOps
The Opportunity Software Engineers on the DevOps team at Manifold work at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, system operations, and cloud architecture. You'll be able to expand your skillset into the world of MLOps--our projects will expose you to the entire machine learning development lifecycle, and you'll develop new, more efficient ways to get models to production. Most of our projects start with a Discovery phase, where you'll work closely with Product Managers to help decide what the right products are to build to solve our customers' hardest problems and the role infrastructure plays in bringing these products to market. We believe engineers play a critical role in this process and should hear the voice of the end user directly. You'll also be a contributor and source of knowledge throughout projects, and internally--including support our team in debugging infrastructure issues, using Docker to develop new internal tools, and mentoring junior engineers. DevOps Engineer, SRE, Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer, and/or Production Engineer. Or you are an experienced Software Engineer who has the desire to learn DevOps. You are a proponent of Infrastructure as Code (and have experience with Terraform). You have experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). You enjoy learning, growing your skillset, and sharing your knowledge with others. In your past work you've likely built deployment pipelines, built a secure cloud environment from scratch, and have worked extensively with VPCs and Virtual Networks. You are comfortable writing and reviewing code in a programming language such as Python, Ruby, Javascript, or Go. You understand the importance of productive communication--especially writing and keeping clean documentation. You believe in solving the right problem, and digging into the questions others ask to ensure we are doing the highest impact thing. $80K -- $100K
